The Ultimate Defense for Your Hard Work
Discover how to protect your work starting from $29. Think about it — creating a single article or image often costs more than that.So why leave your work exposed?
Risk-free 30-Day Money Back Guarantee

You know your website. You know what you need. And you can recognize when a tool has been thoughtfully built.
Your articles, images, lessons, and products are easy to see—they don’t have to be easy to copy. Our goal is to earn your confidence through clear settings, meaningful control over common copy actions, and attention to the details that make managing your site easier—from your first click onward.
A visitor likes a paragraph, an image, or a product description. A few familiar browser actions can turn that work into something they can reuse elsewhere.
You cannot control every way public content is captured. You can make the most casual paths less effortless.
The finished article hides the research and editing. The finished photograph hides the planning and time. Give what you publish a more deliberate boundary while keeping the page useful for the people it was made for.
The browser still offers ordinary selection, context-menu, and shortcut actions. Add targeted controls where those actions do not fit your page.
Turn on controls for text, right-click menus, shortcuts, and images. Decide where they apply, then choose what visitors see when an action is blocked.
These are real screens from the plugin settings. Pick a view to see what it controls, then click any screenshot to open it full size.
Add the plugin to WordPress and open its settings. No theme editing is required for the basic setup.
Pick the content and actions you want to control, then add exceptions where your readers need them.
Test desktop and mobile pages, links, forms, and code examples. Adjust until the experience feels right.
Apply selection and copy controls to the articles, lessons, or descriptions you choose. Keep useful exceptions for content readers genuinely need to copy, such as a code example.

Choose which kinds of content respond to a right-click. For example, restrict the image menu while letting readers use normal link actions on sources and references.
Block the shortcuts people use to copy or inspect your content: Select All, Copy, Cut, Paste, Save, View Source, Print, Print Screen, F12 / DevTools and drag-and-drop. Each one has its own switch, and visitors see your own message when an action is blocked.
They interrupt routine attempts where the browser allows; they do not hide public HTML from a determined person.
Right-click and image interaction controls make casual saving or dragging less convenient. When you need visible attribution on delivered images as well, watermarking is the separate feature in COMPLETE and MAX.
Respond to what a visitor tries to do in the browser.
Add a visible mark through the configured delivery method.
Add a logo or text treatment and preview how it looks on different images. A blocked right-click affects an action on your page; a watermark adds visible attribution to the image served through the method you configure.
How long the mark stays with a downloaded file depends on the selected watermark method. Test the output on your hosting setup before applying it broadly.
See which plans include watermarking
Drag the handle to compare an original image with the same image after watermarks are applied: a repeated text pattern, a large diagonal mark, a signature line, and a stamp.
Andean Flamingos
Sample output for illustration. Watermark styles, text, and placement are configurable in COMPLETE and MAX.
This is a working simulation of the watermark settings screen. Change the text, filter, signature and logo, pick a preset, or drop in your own image. Every change is applied instantly, layer by layer.
PNG, JPG or WebP. Use PNG for a logo with transparency.
Central text, repeated text, and visual treatment.
Interactive simulation for illustration. It runs in your browser only; nothing is uploaded. Available watermark options depend on your license.
The Watermarking Center walks you through a guided 3-step wizard. Design your mark, choose how it reaches your visitors, and check what your server supports before anything changes.
{site-name}, {site-url} and {year}.Every method shows whether it is compatible with your server before you pick it.
Your editors may need to copy. Visitors may need to fill out a form, follow a link, or use a code example. Exclude user roles, post types, categories, URLs, online services and user agents, CSS classes, registered image sizes and individual images, then test as a logged-out visitor.
When an interaction is blocked, tell the visitor what happened in your own words. Pick a ready-made color palette, sorted by how closely it matches your active theme, or set colors manually. Then adjust border, glow, shadow, font size, size and display time, and preview the alert before saving.
Print protection blocks Ctrl+P and replaces the printed page with your own “printing is disabled” message.
Apply rules to relevant content types and exclude chosen URLs, with wildcards and a page/post search picker. When protection belongs on only a small part of your site, Opposite Mode turns it around and protects only the URLs you list. A premium lesson and a contact page do not need identical rules.
The plugin measures each available watermarking option on your own server — static files, on-the-fly, direct calling, root gateway and WordPress routes — and puts response time, server impact, cache compatibility and SEO score side by side, so you can choose the fastest method that fits your site.
Find your licenseCopy protection usually works in silence. These features show you what it blocks, send you the summary, and keep an eye on your site’s health while they do it.
The Protection Center counts every blocked action on your site and shows what happened since your last visit.
Switch it off or wipe it with one click at any time, or have it deleted together with the plugin.
Don’t want to log in to check? Turn on the weekly digest and the plugin emails your site admin a short summary every Monday morning, only in weeks that actually had activity.
A small card opens from the plugin icon in the WordPress admin bar, wherever you are in wp-admin.
The plugin finds the logs your site writes to: wp-content/debug.log or your custom WP_DEBUG_LOG path, your server’s PHP log, and error_log files in the site root,
wp-admin and wp-content.
A clean light-mode control panel with a tab for every module. Change settings with confidence, because the panel guards you against the mistakes that cost time.
Make casual copying of original articles and research less convenient.
Pair on-page image controls with visible attribution when you need it.
Protect lesson text while keeping examples useful to learners.
Choose rules for product content while checking that shopping flows still work.
Bring the COMPLETE feature set to as many as five sites with MAX.
All three cover common text, right-click, and shortcut actions, plus the unique features. Watermarking and site count make the clearest difference.

No honest tool can promise that. Anything a browser can display can still be photographed, screenshotted or pulled from the page source by a determined person. What WCCP does is stop the casual copying that makes up most content theft. That means:
Add image overlays and watermarks, and anything that does get taken still carries your name.
Copying becomes slow and annoying, and taken images still credit you.
They solve two different problems:
ESSENTIAL includes copy protection. COMPLETE and MAX include both.
No. It only stores counts per page and per hour. It never stores IP addresses, cookies or personal data. Bots and logged-in editors and admins aren't counted, and everything stays in your own WordPress database. You can turn it off or wipe it with one click, and it's removed when you uninstall the plugin.
It's included in every edition.
Choose MAX when you run more than one site. It's the COMPLETE feature set, licensed for up to five websites. It doesn't add extra features, so you can stay on COMPLETE if you have one site.
No. Each plan is a one-time payment with a lifetime license. The checkout page shows the exact terms before you pay.
Yes. You can allow selection inside code blocks and add a one-click "Copy" button with your own label, while the rest of the page stays protected. This is useful for tutorial and developer blogs.
Search engines read your page source, not your right-click menu, so copy protection doesn't hide your content from them. Every protection can be switched on or off separately, and you can exclude whole pages, post types, user roles or individual images. That lets you adjust it to your site's needs.
Once you've set it up, run a quick accessibility and indexing check to confirm everything works on your theme.
Choose the controls that fit your pages. Add watermarking when your images need visible attribution. Then test the experience as a visitor.

Just purchased this plugin and so far I’m very happy with it. It’s easy to set up and has the protection features I was looking for.
One question for the developer: **Does this plugin have any negative effect on SEO, Google crawling, or page indexing?**
Thanks for the great plugin!
Premium wordpress plugins –
No. With the default settings, the plugin doesn’t affect SEO, crawling or indexing.
Content protection runs only in the visitor’s browser. Blocking right-click, copying and text selection doesn’t change your HTML, so Google indexes the same content as before.
Search engines aren’t blocked. Only a few PDF and screenshot services are refused, not Googlebot or Bingbot.
Image URLs stay the same with static or .htaccess watermarking, so your existing image rankings aren’t affected.
If SEO is a priority:
Keep “Action when JavaScript is disabled” on Nothing, which is the default. The “Hide content” option can stop some crawlers from seeing your pages.
Use static or .htaccess watermarking. Other methods change your image URLs.
With on-the-fly watermarking, keep Enable cache turned on so page speed doesn’t suffer.
Thanks again for the review

I am using this plugin on my website and it integrates very well with the existing setup. If you need a simple and effective way to protect your content, this plugin does its job perfectly. In my case it is very useful to discourage casual copying of images and text. It works reliably, is easy to configure and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

This plugin is easy to set up and works well for basic content protection. While no solution can completely prevent content theft, it does a good job of discouraging casual copying. Lightweight, reliable, and a useful addition to any WordPress website.

There are loopholes, but I think that generally few people will go to the trouble of copying copyrighted material using illegal means, so I think it will be easy for administrators to protect images and text with the minimum amount of operations required.

If you are seeking effective methods to safeguard your images on a website, this plugin offers a reliable solution. It helps prevent unauthorized use of your photographs on other sites without proper attribution.

I have not launched my website yet, but I am happy this feature exists to help me protect my images and blogs from being taken easily. I do have to work on the screenshot potential though.
dcgtshirts –
This is a good plugin except it allows “Print Screen” which is bad when trying to protect paintings or artwork. Otherwise it protects my website from other types of downloads or copying of the website. Just need that “print screen” fixed.
ellencarnahan –
Not only disables select-copy but also right-click and view-source. Would be nice to have a disable-for-admin feature as I sometimes forget to turn it back on after development. As a creative professional and business owner I really appreciate the deterrent to intellectual property theft.

It works really well for my site salagardens.com. I am afraid of harming SEO at the begin but after 1 month nothing happens at all. Although I am using free version but that enough for me. Thanks so much

It works. It took a while for the changes to reflect on the site I guess a caching or some other issue but it does work. I have an enable right click chrome extension and it still prevents right click with the extension installed. Great plugin. Totally recommend it.
2180wp –
Very easy to use and understand. Perfect to protect content. The default warning image that pops up on double click could be “modernized” to not feel so 2002, but I’m using the free version so I’ll give them a pass. Great Plugin, I hope they thrive!

While there are always ways for advanced users to work around restrictions like the ones this plugin creates, it will get the job done for most websites and accomplish the desired result. 🙂

It protects my images, post text, and even page text. It also protects against right-clicking and printing of content.

Excellent plugin with great protection features!
I’ve been using WP Content Copy Protection & No Right Click (PRO) and I’m very impressed with the features and the level of control it provides for protecting website content. It’s a well-designed plugin with plenty of useful options, and the protection features work exactly as expected.
I also have one technical question for the developer regarding the watermarking functionality:
How does the performance/speed of the “.htaccess on-the-fly” watermarking method compare to the static watermarking method? I noticed that the static watermarking method appears to be faster, so I’d be interested to understand what makes the on-the-fly method slower and whether there are any recommended settings or optimizations for improving its performance.
Overall, this is an excellent plugin and a very useful solution for website owners who want to protect their content. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Premium wordpress plugins –
Thank you for the kind words and the five stars, we really appreciate it!
You’re right: static watermarking is faster. Here’s why, and how to get the most speed out of the on-the-fly method.
Why static is faster:
With static watermarking, the watermark is added to the image file once. Your original is kept in a protected backup folder. After that, your server sends ordinary image files and the plugin does nothing when an image is requested. That’s as fast as image delivery gets.
With the .htaccess on-the-fly method, your files are never changed. Instead, a rewrite rule sends each image request to the plugin’s watermark handler, a PHP script. For every image that isn’t already cached, the server has to:
Start a PHP process and load the watermark settings.
Open and decode the original image.
Draw the watermark (text, logo, repeated text, rotation, filters, signature bar, and so on).
Compress the result and send it to the visitor.
Steps 2–4 use real CPU time, and larger images and more complex watermark designs take longer. On our test server, a static image took about 11 ms to deliver. An uncached on-the-fly watermark took about 40 ms. The .htaccess route is still the fastest of the on-the-fly methods because it skips loading WordPress (the WordPress-route methods took about 115–120 ms in the same test). Your numbers will depend on your hosting.
The extra cost is the price of what you gain: your originals are never touched, a design change applies across the whole site immediately, nothing needs regenerating, and image URLs stay the same.
How to make the .htaccess method faster:
Keep “Enable cache” turned on (Watermarking Center → Apply watermarking). It’s on by default. Each image is drawn once and saved to wp-content/uploads/wccp_pro_watermarked_images/, and later requests are served from that saved copy. Make sure this folder is writable. The first visitor to each image still pays the drawing cost; everyone after that gets the cached copy.
Don’t watermark images that don’t need it. Under Image Size Exclusions, exclude small registered sizes such as thumbnail, and use Manual Image Exclusions for specific files. Excluded images are skipped by the .htaccess rule itself, so PHP never runs and they’re served as fast as static files.
Watermark only hotlinked images, if that’s enough for you. If you mainly want to stop other sites from using your images, set My site rule to No Action and Hotlinking rule to Watermark. Your own visitors then get plain files at full speed, and only requests from other sites are watermarked.
Keep the watermark design simple. Repeated or rotated text, image filters and extra layers all add drawing time. This mostly affects the first, uncached request for each image.
Use browser caching or a CDN for images. That way returning visitors don’t request the same image from your server again.
Measure on your own server. Open Watermarking Center → Speed Test & Benchmark and run the test. It times every method on your hosting, and the What’s the difference? tab then shows your real numbers.
Which method to choose: if you’re happy to have the watermark built into the files (fully reversible from the backups), static gives the best speed. It’s also the only method that puts the watermark on social-media link previews. If you want your originals untouched and design changes to apply instantly, the .htaccess method with caching enabled is the best on-the-fly option.
Thanks again for the great review!

Very effective. Even disables printing, which none of the other plugins did for me. Definitely worth installing.
Frank B –
with the free version there is No protection on “Portfolio-category” etc pages but otherwise, a great plugin that I’ve been using for years. I’m a real estate property photographer and I now use the Portfolio Category pages to display my “recent work.” And sadly, I just noticed there’s no option provided to include protection for the “Portfolio-item”, Portfolio-category”, etc. pages. Perhaps the author can add that with a future update.
